This was an art assignment I had to do for my Painting II high school class. I had to take two or more famous works of art, take them completely out of context, and put them in a weird situation. Real famous people could be used, too. This is the end result.
I took copies of the person screaming from Edvard Munch's "The Scream" and put him in a house of mirrors. Each one sees himself as a realistic person from another artwork or real life, rather than his distorted self, and screams at his "reflection." The famous artwork featured here is:
-Grant Wood's "American Gothic" (guy with the pitchfork)
-Sandro Botticelli's "Birth of Venus"
-Leonadro Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa"
The celebrity on the left is Michael Jackson O_O. (sorry MJ fans.)
My art teacher said she loved it and thought it was hilarious. People who I showed this to thought it was funny and inventive. With that said, it encouraged me to post in my Deviation Gallery for all to see. I'm actually (in a way) quite happy with this piece.
All images found in Google Image Search. Completely done in Photoshop. I know my way with manipulating images and pictures (sometimes).

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
